Singer David Draiman has announced that Disturbed will be taking an indefinite hiatus.
Following the conclusion of the band’s European tour, Draiman took to social media to express his appreciation to fans and support team alike.
“Thanks so much to EVERYONE that made #TheSickness25 a tour to truly remember!” the singer wrote. “Crew, Management, Agent, Promoters, and ESPECIALLY my brothers in Disturbed. Not sure when we will be headed back out. We all need a nice long break. Hope to see you when we do.”
A day later, Draiman shared another post in which he admitted to getting “high school high” after “not burning” in the last three months because of the tour. The singer noted he was “reflecting on the beautiful madness of it all” and “looking forward to being with family and friends,” before again saying the band would be “taking a nice long break.”
Disturbed’s recently-concluded trek celebrated the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough debut album, The Sickness. Draiman has also earned headlines recently for his outspoken support of Israel. Disturbed’s scheduled performance in Belgium last month was cancelled over safety concerns related to Draiman’s political views.
“It doesn’t matter whether you are Israeli or Palestinian,” Draiman later remarked, “Everyone is welcome in our house every fucking time we take the stage.” In total, Disturbed performed 51 concerts in 2025.
