Sublime-640x640Happy 20th birthday to one of the finest Southern California alt rock albums ever. Sublime’s self-titled LP was released July 30, 1996, just two months after singer Bradley Nowell died of an overdose. The album almost wasn’t even released due to Bradley’s death, but thankfully it saw the light of day, and still sounds amazing to this day.

Mixing Drinks – 2 new Ballast Point IPA varieties

We’ve got two more San Diego-brewed IPAs for this week’s Mixing Drinks. On channel A, we’ve got the new Pineapple Sculpin from Ballast Point. We’ve loved the original Sculpin for years, and the Grapefruit Sculpin is Malcolm’s recent favorite. On channel B, we’ve got their Watermelon Dorado, which is a Double IPA with watermelon flavor added. Will these be keepers, or will we toss em back? You probably already know the answer to that, but tune in this weekend to hear the details! 🍻

Mixing Drinks – Coronado Brewing Stingray IPA

We always talk about our favorite beers on-air, so we decided to keep you posted on exactly what we’re sipping on each week. This weekend, we’ve got fellow San Diegan’s Coronado Brewing in the fridge, with their brand new nation-wide released Stingray IPA. It’s a smooth, balanced, easy drinking Imperial IPA, that hides its 7.9% ABV quite well with juicy tropical hop flavors. If you’re 21 and up, find one and drink along with us in the mix this weekend!
