Dirty rock n’ roll quartet Mason Gold have released their new single and music video – “Waters“, the first single from their upcoming new album, The Blackwater. The track was engineered by Michael Bernard (Fleetwood Mac, P!nk, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys) and mixed/mastered by Cameron Mizell (Machine Gun Kelly, Avril Lavigne, Sleeping With Sirens & Memphis May Fire) with additional production work by Mason Gold drummer Raul Hernandez. The song is a straight shot of thunderous riffs and vocals that will shake listeners to the core.
Mason Gold’s new album The Blackwater is a concept record based around transitioning through life. Every song has a deep meaning and every song is attacked with soaring vocals backed by a wall of sound of instrumentals that have been influenced by all stages of Rock n Roll.
Mason Gold is set to release their new album The Blackwater on April 21, 2023.\
The first single “Waters” is available now and will be followed up by another single “Athame” on March 17, 2023.
“I wrote Waters during a transitional period in my life. I was playing with the concept of baptism, the ebb and flow of the waves crashing over you, letting the ocean wash away your past self, a cleansing. And the person that would emerge from the waves would be clean. Free from self burden. Ultimate. This song heavily speaks for the concepts of the upcoming album The Blackwater.. Let “Waters” wash over your soul and come out the other side awakened,” says vocalist Zac Roane ..
“The bass for this song drives; a cruise-controlled drive into the new glory of our future” says bassist Chris Wolf.
