Scroll Down to See Our Favourite Metallica Clips
Metallica is streaming professionally recorded video of a rare rendition of the “Master Of Puppets” classic “Leper Messiah” from a concert they played at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium on August 11.
The song was performed for the first time in Montreal in 19 years; it was last heard there on October 4, 2004, at the Bell Centre arena. The first of two concerts by Metallica in the Canadian city marked the beginning of the seventh weekend of the band’s M72 World Tour in promotion of their most recent album, “72 Seasons.”
The project, which was produced by Greg Fidelman and band members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and was recorded in the band’s headquarters in San Rafael, California, between 2021 and 2022, debuted at No. 1 on the US Album Sales upon release in April
