The band bears his name, but Rome Ramirez has announced that his time with Sublime With Rome is drawing to a close. In a recent statement, Ramirez disclosed his decision to part ways with the band at the end of 2024. However, he intends to bid farewell through a series of performances over the next year.
Ramirez explained in his statement that he has been working on new solo music, and this pursuit is leading him to embark on a solo career, prompting his departure from Sublime With Rome. The complete statement can be found below:
The formation of Sublime With Rome took place in 2010 when the surviving members of Sublime, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, decided to reenter the music scene. Ramirez was chosen to front their new band. After resolving legal issues with Bradley Nowell’s family, the group continued under the name Sublime With Rome.
Apart from revisiting Sublime’s classic repertoire, they developed a fresh catalog of material, starting with the 2011 album “Yours Truly.” Subsequent releases include 2015’s “Sirens” and 2019’s “Blessings.” Earlier this year, they released the singles “Cool and Collected” (featuring Slightly Stoopid) and “All I Need,” and their latest track, “Tangerine Skies,” is available below.
