Platinum-certified industrial rock innovators Filter are back with a new sonic barrage. The band will release The Algorithm: Ultra Edition — a remixed, remastered, and expanded version of last year’s The Algorithm — on August 8 via frontman Richard Patrick’s own No Pulse Records.
This Ultra Edition reimagines the original album’s conceptual framework with nine additional tracks, pushing Patrick’s vision further into a bold new era of sound. Kicking off the campaign is the blistering new single “All The Good,” which dropped July 11 across digital platforms and radio. The track is a swirling storm of classic Filter intensity and modern ferocity — jagged riffs, pounding drums, and a chorus that breaks through the noise like a transmission from the edge.
Produced by Patrick and longtime collaborator Brian Virtue, “All The Good” was co-written with Zach Munowitz, the guitarist behind several of The Algorithm’s heaviest moments, including “For the Beaten,” “Up Against the Wall,” and “Say It Again.” The result is a track that doesn’t just play with dynamics — it detonates them.
The Algorithm: Ultra Edition also features four remixes from an all-star cast: former Nine Inch Nails member Charlie Clouser, veteran producer Sean Beaven (NIN, Marilyn Manson), and Julian Gray, who reinterprets “Burn Out The Sun.” Patrick himself contributes fresh remixes, including a newly twisted take on “Obliteration.”
Rounding out the project are two bold covers: a brooding, atmospheric spin on U2’s “A Sort of Homecoming,” and a gritty, industrial rework of Billie Eilish’s chart-dominating hit “Bad Guy.”
The Algorithm: Ultra Edition arrives on all streaming platforms August 8, with exclusive physical formats to follow. For Filter, it’s not just a re-release — it’s a full-blown evolution.
