Puscifer Drop New Single ‘Self Evident’ and Announce 2026 Tour

Puscifer, the long-running side project of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, have big plans for 2026.

The group will release their fifth studio album, Normal Isn’t, on February 6. The announcement comes with the lead single, “Self Evident,” which you can listen to below.

If that weren’t enough, Puscifer also confirmed The Normal Isn’t Tour, which will kick off March 20 in Las Vegas, and runs through a May 14 show in Los Angeles. Along the way, Keenan and company will stop in such major cities as Dallas, Boston, New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, October 24th, at 10 a.m. local time.

Normal Isn’t marks Puscifer’s first album in over five years. The band’s last LP, Existential Reckoning, arrived in 2020.

“We’re definitely leaning into our early influences. It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from,” Keenan explained of the upcoming album. Puscifer co-vocalist and multi-instrumental Carina Round added, “Instead of just saying, ‘I want this to sound like Fleetwood Mac on cocaine if they had a baby with PJ Harvey,’ Maynard was showing us his intention, which was really cool. In Puscifer, any idea can totally change without any preciousness, and everybody is on board – not unlike an insane asylum. We found each other because we’re demented in a symbiotic way.”

Normal Isn’t will also feature several notable guest appearances, including by Keenan’s Tool bandmate Danny Carey (drums on “Seven One”), King Crimson icon Tony Levin (bass on “Normal Isn’t” and “Seven One”), and Mr. Ian Ross, father of Nine Inch Nails’ Atticus Ross (spoken word on “Seven One”).
