Megadeth have officially released their self-titled final studio album, Megadeth, out today (January 23, 2026). Arriving six months after its announcement, the record stands as a definitive closing chapter for the Grammy Award–winning, multi-platinum metal titans.
The album is released via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s BLKIIBLK label and has already begun earning widespread critical acclaim.
Leading into release day, Megadeth also unveiled their cinematic global event Megadeth: Behind the Mask via Trafalgar Releasing, which debuted in theaters worldwide on January 22.

The self-titled album features the current Megadeth lineup of Dave Mustaine (vocals, guitar), Teemu Mäntysaari (lead, rhythm, and acoustic guitars), James LoMenzo (bass), and Dirk Verbeuren (drums).
Four singles preceded the album’s release: “Puppet Parade,” “Let There Be Shred!,” “I Don’t Care,” and “Tipping Point.” The record also includes a special bonus track, a reimagined version of “Ride the Lightning,” originally co-written by Mustaine with Metallica’s James Hetfield, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich.

Following the album’s release, Megadeth will launch their North American farewell tour with a headlining run across Canada beginning February 15 in Victoria, BC. The tour will include stops in Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and wrap on March 6 in Quebec City, QC.
