Taking Back Sunday Announce Summer 2026 Tour With Bayside, Reuniting Scene Veterans on the Road

Two decades removed from the basements, VFW halls, and Long Island dive bars where their paths first crossed, Taking Back Sunday and Bayside are taking that history back on the road. Taking Back Sunday have announced a Summer 2026 tour with Bayside as special guests, a pairing that feels less like a booking and more like a long-overdue victory lap for a generation of post-hardcore kids who grew up yelling every word.

The tour launches May 31 in Dewey Beach, Delaware, and runs through June with stops across the East Coast and Midwest, including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, St. Louis, and Madison, before a late-summer appearance at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It follows a busy 2025 for Taking Back Sunday, who spent much of last year touring alongside Coheed and Cambria, and signals a renewed focus on connection — not nostalgia, but continuity.

In a joint statement that reads like a time capsule cracked open, the band reflected on their early days with Bayside: shows played to half-empty rooms, friendships forged between sets, and a shared scene that grew up alongside them. That relationship carried forward through shared labels, international tours, and milestone moments, including Bayside joining Taking Back Sunday’s Tell All Your Friends 10-year anniversary run in 2012. Fourteen years later, the reunion feels earned.

The timing also aligns with new creative energy from Taking Back Sunday. Last fall, the band released “The Pattern,” their first new song since 2023’s 152. The track appeared on Music For Everyone Volume 2, a benefit compilation supporting the ACLU, placing the band alongside artists like Straylight Run, letlive., Anthony Green, Kevin Devine, and L.S. Dunes — a reminder that their voice still carries weight beyond the stage.

Presales, including VIP packages, begin Wednesday, February 11 at 10am local time, with general on-sale following Friday, February 13. If history is any indicator, these shows won’t just be about reliving the past — they’ll be about watching two bands who survived the scene era on their own terms, still loud, still sharp, and still connected to the crowd.
