GHOST Unleash Video for “Umbra”

Leave it to GHOST to turn Friday the 13th into a gothic Valentine.

The Swedish arena phenomenon has released the official video for “Umbra,” the latest single from their Billboard 200 chart-topping album SKELETÁ. The clip, directed by Amir Chamdin, plays like a doomed romance under candlelight, tracing a star-crossed couple spiraling toward inevitable collapse while Papa V Perpetua watches from the shadows.

“Umbra” appears on SKELETÁ, GHOST’s sixth studio album, released April 25, 2025 via Loma Vista Recordings. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the band’s first time topping the U.S. albums chart.

The rollout has been relentless. “Umbra” follows previous singles “Satanized,” praised by VICE as a “catchy goth-rock epic,” “Lachryma,” which the band performed during its debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the towering opener “Peacefield,” which has served as the ritualistic entry point for the band’s current live run.

That run, the Skeletour Tour, has already sold roughly half a million tickets worldwide and continues through February 23 at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome. The production has further cemented GHOST’s place as one of the few modern rock acts capable of merging theatrical spectacle, metal precision, and pop-scale hooks into something that feels both camp and cathedral.

With a recent GRAMMY nomination and arenas packed coast to coast, 2026 is shaping up to be another banner year for the Tobias Forge-led juggernaut.
