Pitbull’s Is Hosting a Bald-Cap Guinness World Record Attempt at his BST Hyde Park Show (Yes, Really)

Pitbull’s BST Hyde Park date this summer is getting an extra layer of “Dale!”: organizers have confirmed the show will double as an official Guinness World Records attempt for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.

The whole thing is built around a fan tradition that’s quietly become one of the funniest sight gags in live music: crowds showing up in black suits, sunglasses, and bald caps to match Mr. Worldwide’s signature look — a movement that’s earned its own nickname, the “Bald-E’s.”

Per multiple reports, the idea was championed by BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James, and it snowballed from there into a full-on record attempt at Hyde Park.

Pitbull is leaning all the way in, teasing the moment in a statement tied to the attempt: “Guinness Book of World Records, get ready for all the Bald-E’s… on July 10th at Hyde Park.”

Guinness being Guinness, there are actual ground rules: participants must be wearing bald caps, gathered together at the same time, and remain in position for at least one minute, with the caps secured and hair tucked under per the attempt guidance shared in coverage of the announcement.

When and where

The attempt is set for Pitbull’s BST Hyde Park show on Friday, July 10, 2026 in London’s Hyde Park.

BST Hyde Park also confirmed other 2026 headliners in the run around that week, including Maroon 5 (July 3), Mumford & Sons (July 4), and Lewis Capaldi (July 11)
