Arch Enemy Reveal New Vocalist Lauren Hart, Drop “To the Last Breath,” Announce Summer 2026 European Tour

Arch Enemy have officially entered their next chapter.

The Swedish melodic death metal lifers have introduced Lauren Hart (formerly of Once Human) as their new lead vocalist, releasing “To the Last Breath”
as her first recording with the band. The track arrives with an official music video and serves as Arch Enemy’s first new release since the departure of longtime frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz, who exited the group in late 2025. Source

“To the Last Breath” is framed as both a reset and a reaffirmation, built on the band’s familiar blend of sharp melodic leads, tight rhythm guitar churn, and arena sized hooks anchored by extreme vocals. Founder and guitarist Michael Amott praised Hart’s vocal ability and approach, calling their collaboration “an important step” and emphasizing her “dedication and professionalism.” Source

Amott also described the new single as a statement of intent, saying it aligns with his original vision for the band and centers lyrically on clarity, resistance, and pushing back against manipulation. Source

Hart’s arrival closes a loud week of fan speculation. Rumors swirled that classic era vocalist Angela Gossow might be returning after social media teases, but reports note the band is not reuniting with Gossow and is instead moving forward with Hart as the new voice up front. Source

For Arch Enemy, a band that has survived multiple lineup shifts without softening the blade, “To the Last Breath” reads like a mission statement: new voice, same warpath, and a deliberate return to sweatbox rooms where the riffs hit harder and the distance between band and crowd disappears.

If this is the first signal of what’s coming next, Arch Enemy aren’t easing into their future. They’re kicking the door in.
