One of the largest rock festivals in North America just raised the bar again. Aftershock Festival has unveiled its 2026 lineup, bringing more than 140 artists across five stages to Sacramento’s Discovery Park from October 1–4, 2026.
Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, the annual California festival continues to expand its footprint, with organizers confirming a larger festival layout and the introduction of on-site camping for the first time in the event’s history.
The lineup reads like a cross-section of modern heavy music. Headliners across the four days include My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit, Pierce the Veil, and Tool.
But as usual with Aftershock, the real depth of the festival lives below the headliners.
The bill spans decades of rock, metal, and alternative music with major sets from Queens of the Stone Age, The Offspring, Wu‑Tang Clan, Public Enemy, and BABYMETAL.
Elsewhere on the lineup are heavy hitters like Stone Temple Pilots, AFI, Killswitch Engage, Underoath, and Cypress Hill.
Festival organizers are also leaning into special sets and reunion moments. Circa Survive will reunite for a West Coast performance, Wolfmother will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, and Municipal Waste will mark 25 years as a band with a dedicated anniversary set.
Aftershock has steadily grown into one of the largest destination festivals in the United States. In 2025 the event drew more than 164,000 fans and generated roughly $39 million in economic impact for the Sacramento area.
For 2026, the festival is adding several immersive fan experiences, including the Tremors Dive Bar, Cantina del Diablo, the Aftershock x Jungle Bird Tiki Bar, and a new Overtime Sports Bar viewing zone.
Camping will also debut nearby at Cal Expo, with RV, tent, and car-camping options plus a Wednesday pre-party hosted by Rock & Brews.
