Another weekend, another heavy rotation of remixes, throwbacks, and new releases as Skratch N Sniff rolled out Alternative Mix #692 and Rock Mix #1208 for the weekend of April 4, 2026. As always, the nationally syndicated show blended classic records with forward-thinking producers, keeping things familiar while pushing the sound forward.
On the Alternative side, the mix leaned into nostalgia with flips of Incubus’ “Wish You Were Here” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion,” both reworked into modern electronic territory. That energy carried into a strong run of crossover selections including Gorillaz, Paramore, and The Killers, all flipped into club-ready edits.
Newer material held its own throughout the mix. Codefendants’ “Lonely Life” continues to show up strong in rotation, while Little Stranger’s “Love You When I’m Sad” landed as The Pier’s featured song. Tracks like little image’s “The Pressure,” pulled from their newly released album, added a fresh edge alongside staples from Sublime and Dirty Heads.
Over on the Rock Mix, things hit harder right out the gate. Remixes of Foo Fighters, Deftones, and Slipknot set the tone, blending heavy guitars with electronic production. The middle of the mix leaned into industrial and metal influences, pulling from Tool, Rammstein, and System of a Down.
Legacy acts continued to anchor the setlist, with flips of Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Alice in Chains, while newer artists like Magnolia Park and The Warning kept things current. Everlast’s “Stones” also made an appearance across both mixes, continuing its strong push.
The formula stays undefeated. Familiar songs, unexpected flips, and a balance of new and classic that keeps the mixes moving without losing the core of what makes these records hit.
