DizzyIsDead’s “spiderwebs” Becomes This Week’s Pier Song of the Week on Skratch N Sniff Alt Show

DizzyIsDead is bringing raw emotion to this week’s Skratch N Sniff Alt Show with his new single “spiderwebs,” officially landing as the latest Pier Song of the Week.

The track dives headfirst into themes of depression, addiction, and feeling mentally trapped, transforming personal struggle into a dark but deeply relatable alternative anthem. Built around atmospheric production and vulnerable songwriting, “spiderwebs” showcases the emotionally driven style that has helped DizzyIsDead rapidly build a dedicated fanbase.

Before launching the project, Blake Lounsbury spent years grinding through the independent hip hop scene, performing hundreds of shows and building his career from the ground up. But after stepping away from music entirely, he returned with a completely different approach, blending alternative rock, hip hop, emo, and singer-songwriter influences into something far more personal.

That honesty has resonated in a major way. Without major label backing or playlist manipulation, DizzyIsDead has grown through pure fan connection, building the DXAD movement around listeners who relate to the vulnerability and realism inside his music.

“spiderwebs” feels like another major step forward. The song captures the emotional chaos of self-doubt while still delivering a huge cathartic payoff, balancing heaviness with melody in a way that feels tailor-made for the modern alt scene.

The momentum keeps growing too. This summer, DizzyIsDead will open for Sublime at Sublime Festival before joining the Reef Madness cruise later this year.
