Skratch N Sniff Celebrates July 4th America 250 Weekend With Alternative Mix #705 and Rock Mix #1221

Skratch N Sniff turned up the volume for July 4th weekend with a special America 250 edition of the show, bringing two full hours of remixed alternative, rock, reggae, punk, metal and crossover chaos to the airwaves.

The July 4th America 250 weekend featured Alternative Mix #705 and Rock Mix #1221, giving listeners two different sides of the Skratch N Sniff universe. The Alternative Mix leaned into remixed alt staples, modern crossover tracks and reggae-rock flavor, while the Rock Mix brought heavier guitars, hard rock remixes and new tracks from some of the biggest names in active rock.

On the Alternative side, the show kicked off with Incubus “Wish You Were Here” in remix form, followed by Edgehill, Panic! At The Disco, No Doubt and Slum Beach Posse featuring DENM, Jesse James Pariah and Landon McNamara. From there, the mix moved through Blink-182, honestav with mgk, lovelytheband, Phantogram, little image, Muse, Paramore, Joyce Manor and more.

This week’s ThePier.org Feature Song came from Tropidelic with “Up In Smoke,” off the band’s new album First Light. The track landed in Segment 4 of the Alternative Mix alongside Dirty Heads, Milky Chance, In Color and Jutes, giving the America 250 weekend show a strong dose of reggae-rock energy.

Alternative Mix #705 also featured MGMT, Lola Young remixed by The Chainsmokers, Phoenix, Death Cab For Cutie, Sum 41, MGK & Fred Durst, Sam Fender and The Killers, closing out with a remix of “Mr. Brightside.”

Rock Mix #1221 brought the heavier side of the July 4th America 250 weekend, opening with Metallica “Enter Sandman” remixed by Teddy Cream before rolling into Letdown., Daughtry, Evanescence and Breaking Benjamin. The show continued with 3 Doors Down, Motionless In White featuring Skylar Grey, Bad Omens, Beartooth and Architects.

Segment 3 of the Rock Mix connected directly with the Alternative show through two shared highlights: Lauren Sanderson’s “Come Say Sum,” credited on the Rock Mix with Fred Durst, and MGK & Fred Durst’s “FIX UR FACE.” Those tracks helped bridge the two shows, tying together the alt and rock lanes that Skratch N Sniff has been blending for years.

The Rock Mix also featured Limp Bizkit, 30 Seconds To Mars, Poison, Jeris Johnson, Disturbed, Kid Rock, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach featuring Humankind, Korn, Grandson, Hollywood Undead, Faith No More, The Hu featuring Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More, From Ashes To New, Godsmack and Fozzy.

Whether you caught the July 4th America 250 shows live or missed them over the holiday weekend, both mixes are built for a full-volume replay. From remixed classics to new crossover cuts, Skratch N Sniff delivered a weekend soundtrack that covered everything from alt-radio nostalgia to heavy rock chaos.
