With the help of his older brother, drummer Shannon Leto, Jared Leto’s band Thirty Seconds to Mars has released “Stuck,” an electropop tune that is unquestionably not a rock song and their first original track in five years.
It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day, Thirty Seconds to Mars’ planned sixth studio album, will be released on September 15.

In the weeks before, the group had teased “Stuck”. Expectations were raised for Jared’s Met Gala performance last week, where the singer — who is also a gifted actor — amused onlookers by donning yet another outrageous costume.
On their self-titled first album released in 2002, Thirty Seconds to Mars (then stylized as 30 Seconds to Mars) introduced themselves as a rock band with emo and prog elements. Thirty Seconds to Mars’ 2006 single “The Kill” was recognized as a top hard rock song by Loudwire in 2012. But by the time of 2018’s AMERICA, it was obvious the band had discovered a new inspiration in electronic music with elements of mainstream pop.
