Since being accused of sexual assault and abuse by actress and activist Evan Rachel Wood, one of his ex-fiancées, that started in 2021, Marilyn Manson appears to be promoting his first new music.
Last week, it was reported that the troubled rock singer, real name Brian Warner, had lost a significant portion of his defamation lawsuit against Wood.
Manson posted on social media for the first time in over a year on Monday, May 15. The singer recently posted two images that look to be stills from an upcoming music video, with Manson posing with a microphone in his hand, as seen on Instagram and Twitter.
“I’ve got something for you to hear,” Manson said in the post. He added that his wife, Lindsay Usich, captured the images. See the post below.
Marilyn Manson Accusation Timeline
Wood teamed up with at least four other women in 2021 to publicize their claims at the same time. Manson “began grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years,” according to Wood. I was coerced and brainwashed into submitting. I no longer want to live in constant fear of reprisals, libel, or blackmail. I’m here to expose this risky individual and denounce the numerous industries that have given him support.
Manson sued Wood for libel and conspiracy in 2022. The singer promised that she would be able to talk more about the events of the previous year at a later time. I’m going to let the facts speak for themselves up until that point.
Later, Ashley Morgan Smithline (also known as Ashley Lindsay Morgan), one of Manson’s other accusers, renounced her claim. Smithline initially sued him and discussed her allegations with People. In 2023, a judge threw out that lawsuit.
Manson Allegations
Manson refuted all accusations. “My art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he said in 2021. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how and why others are now choosing to misrepresent the past.”
