Olivia has shown us such strength and courage In her career and in the last years of her life. She has beaten cancer two times prior to her final cancer diagnosis and shared her battle every step of the way.

Today we pay tribute to the woman that brought us decades of delight on and off the screen.

Thank you for sharing your talent, strength, courage and vulnerability with us. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Mo Ostin, who presided as a top executive at Warne

Mo Ostin, who presided as a top executive at Warner Bros.-Reprise Records for more than three decades, during which the artist-friendly company enjoyed a glittering, hit-making run, died Sunday of natural causes. He was 95.

Max Lousada, CEO of Warner Recorded Music: “In an era when creative entrepreneurs are revered, we celebrate Mo Ostin as a pioneer who wrote the rulebook for others to follow. Warner Music Group and Warner Records wouldn’t exist without his passion, vision, and intelligence. He not only helped build one of the world’s greatest music companies, but he inspired a culture driven by bravery and ingenuity. Mo saw artists for who they really were and gave them the space and support to fully realize their originality. Our condolences to Michael and the whole Ostin family. Mo was a legend, and he will be deeply missed.”
In 1960, Ostin was hired away from Norman Granz’s imprint Verve Records by Frank Sinatra, who, while he failed to purchase Verve, was impressed by the savvy of the label’s 33-year-old controller and brought him on board as his general manager.

Ostin weathered three years of humdrum sales by Reprise’s roster of old-school pop stars and jazz musicians, and moved into a larger executive role after the label was bought by Warner Bros., the label arm of the Burbank studio.
He quickly began to move Warner-Reprise into step with the times, personally signing the Kinks, already a hit in England, in 1964, and inking the Jimi Hendrix Experience, then making noise in the U.K., in 1967. (He was unafraid to bring on more eccentric talents as well, bringing in performers such as the freewheeling Greenwich Village band the Fugs and the trilling, ukulele-strumming singer Tiny Tim.)
In the wake of those signings, Warner-Reprise accumulated the most envied talent roster in the music business. In the late ‘60s and ‘70s it numbered among its acts Randy Newman, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, the Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Paul Simon and Rod Stewart.

Today marks 35 years since Kiefer Sutherland rocked the blonde mullet in his biker glory in The Lost Boys – and we haven’t stopped thinking about him since.

Jason Patric and the late Corey Haim star as brothers who move to Santa Carla with their newly-divorced mother (Dianne Wiest). However, things are not all that they seem when Michael (Patric) falls in with the troublesome local boardwalk gang, led by belligerent mullet-wearing David (Kiefer Sutherland). Sleep all day, party all night, it’s every teen’s dream… Until the body count starts to rise.

The Lost Boys is full of stunning visuals and camera-work, shown from the very beginning. The opening shot glides across the dark ocean to the beat of Cry Little Sister. It’s chilling and exhilarating all at once as the sensation of flying is mimicked seconds later. The boardwalk carnival is revealed ahead of us, where many of the film’s key moments take place – a seemingly innocent funfair turned hunting ground to most nefarious drifters. The camera shot used here is picked up on several times over the course of the movie, but it is with this opening shot that we are captivated and anticipating what is it to come.

Only took 4 short months😂

Chris Rock referenced his now infamous Oscars slap during a tour stop in Atlanta, just hours after Will Smith released an apology video.

In March, Smith slapped Rock on stage during the 2022 Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith's lack of hair, comparing her to a character in the movie G.I. Jane. Pinkett-Smith has been outspoken about her struggles with alopecia, which causes hair loss. Rock acknowledged the shocking moment during the Friday performance of his Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour.

CNN reported that the 57 year old said "everybody is trying to be a f****ing victim."

"If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims. Even me getting smacked by Suge Smith… I went to work the next day, I got kids,” he continued, comparing Smith to Suge Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records who is currently serving 28 years for voluntary manslaughter.

He added, "Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face."

311 combining two great traditions into one awesom

311 combining two great traditions into one awesome experience in 2023. The band, who have taken part in several cruise adventures in previous years, are combining their plans for their 2023 cruise to synch up with their "311 Day" concert. So for the first time, "311 Day" will be taking place at sea.

The band has partnered with Sixthman to announce the 311 Caribbean Cruise 7 - 311 Day at Sea, while will take place between March 8-13, 2023. The ship will set sail from Miami, Florida, en route to Harvest Caye, Belize and Roatan, Honduras before returning to port in Florida.

311 fans are invited to book their trip aboard the Norwegian Pearl, with plenty of 311-themed events, performances and activities taking place throughout the journey. Fans will be able to take a personal photo with the group, catch performances from 311 and other special guests on five concert stages, partake of costume night and enjoy the various bars, restaurants, spas, fitness centers, sports courts, hot tubs, swimming pools and the Pearl Club Casino that are all on board the ship. There will also be plenty of activities at each of the exotic stops on the journey.

And the crowning jewel of the sea-based adventure will be the band's annual "311 Day shows," offering up a full festival lineup of bands and comedians who will soon be announced.
