Phoenix have shared the latest single from the soon the be released LP “Alpha Zulu.” The new track is right on cue with the seasons “Winter Solstice” and it is accompanied by a dark yet light visual directed by Warren Fu.
Alpha Zulu is the band’s first album in five years and we will finally get to here it in its entirety on November 4 via Loyauté/ Glassnote. Winter Solstice is the third single of the forthcoming LP , preceded by “Tonight” a duet with Ezra Koenig of indie rock favorites Vampire Weekend. Kicking off the single release was the albums title track.
The song’s beat and visual build a path ease the brain of any anxieties, which is how I choose to receive messages this day and age. Warren Fu is widely regarded as one of the best directors in the short form space, having directed couples music videos and commercials featuring the most respected talents in the industry. He is the perfect choice to take such a beautiful song and bring it into a whole new medium.
