Detroit’s demented duo, TWIZTID, have unleashed their latest studio album, Welcome To Your Funeral. The record, produced by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (known for his work with Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, and QUEENSRŸCHE), fuses the aggressive rock elements of KORN and LINKIN PARK with the raw energy of their underground rap roots. This unique fusion, paired with their signature authenticity and unfiltered emotional intensity, has gained them the respect of artists spanning multiple genres, from Jelly Roll to ICE NINE KILLS.

TWIZTID’s Jamie Madrox on Musical Evolution

In a recent interview with Skratch N Sniff, TWIZTID’s Jamie Madrox opened up about the creative process behind Welcome To Your Funeral, collaborating with Zeuss, and working with QUEENSRŸCHE’s Todd La Torre, who played drums on the album. He also touched on the band’s evolving sound, the influence of social media, and how artists like Jelly Roll, Ronnie Radke, and HARDY are reshaping genre boundaries.

“I feel like we’ve always had the desire to push the envelope. When you go back to how we started, we used to sample rock music—Zombie, Manson—and add 808s to it and rap over it. So this isn’t too far off from that,” Madrox explained. “It’s just that now, we’re working with original ingredients, if that makes sense. This record is TWIZTID and Zeuss.”

Breaking the Glass Ceiling of Genre Lines

Madrox also shared insights into the growing movement of artists who refuse to be confined by traditional genre labels. He highlighted how Jelly Roll, Ronnie Radke, and HARDY are breaking the glass ceiling in the music industry, proving that boundaries between rock, hip-hop, and country are more fluid than ever.

Furthermore, he emphasized the impact of social media engagement, stressing the importance of responding to every comment—positive or negative—to maintain a strong connection with their fanbase.

The Power of Welcome To Your Funeral

A relentless force in the independent music scene, TWIZTID boasts over a dozen Billboard chart entries and has shared the stage with bands like STATIC-X, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, and ATTILA. Their music is known for offering an intensely powerful catharsis, taking listeners on an unflinching ride through emotional darkness, paranoia, and anxiety.

Produced, mixed, engineered, and mastered by Zeuss, Welcome To Your Funeral showcases an evolved sound. Additional engineering was handled by Fritz “The Cat” Von Kosky. Madrox and Monoxide handled all vocal performances, delivering their signature blend of aggression and emotional depth.

The Future of TWIZTID

With Welcome To Your Funeral, TWIZTID marks the beginning of a new era in their musical journey—a relentless pursuit of evolution. This album cements their place as innovators who refuse to be boxed into a single genre. As they continue to break barriers, fans can expect more intensity, more raw emotion, and an even bolder future ahead.
