Guns N’ Roses Parts Ways With Frank Ferrer, Welcomes New Drummer Isaac Carpenter
Guns N’ Roses has officially announced the amicable departure of longtime drummer Frank Ferrer, while also introducing Isaac Carpenter as the band’s newest member behind the kit. Ferrer exits after nearly two decades of loyal service, having helped define the band’s powerful rhythm section since joining in June 2006. In a heartfelt statement, the Axl Rose-fronted group expressed gratitude for Ferrer’s contributions thanking him for his friendship, creativity and presence over the years.
Taking up the mantle is Isaac Carpenter, a seasoned American drummer and songwriter from Washington’s Tri-Cities. Known for his high-octane energy and versatility, Carpenter is set to tour with Guns N’ Roses throughout their 2025 European, Asian, and Middle East run, which includes headlining slots at major stadiums and festivals in the spring and summer.
Carpenter rose to fame in 1995 after co-founding the band LOUDERMILK during high school and securing a deal with Rick Rubin’s American Recordings. Over the years, he’s earned a stellar reputation for his dynamic style, combining technical skill with raw power. His credits include work with Duff McKagan’s LOADED, AWOLNATION, Adam Lambert, BARBARIANS OF CALIFORNIA, A PERFECT CIRCLE, THE EXIES, OURS, and BLACK LAB, along with an extensive background in film and TV session drumming.
