POP EVIL Release Electrifying ‘Side Effects’ Music Video From New Album What Remains

Modern rock juggernauts POP EVIL — featuring vocalist Leigh Kakaty, guitarists Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling, bassist Joey “Chicago” Walser, and drummer Blake Allison — have unleashed their eighth studio album, What Remains, via MNRK Heavy. Alongside the album launch, the band also premiered the high-energy music video for “Side Effects.”

The performance-driven video is a raw and riveting visual for the ferocious track, packed with explosive guitar riffs and a thunderous breakdown that shakes the senses. You can watch the full video below.

“Side Effects” is an arena-sized anthem layered with emotion and aggression. Lyrically, it cuts deep with lines like:

  • “The world I built you tried to tear apart”
  • “Why did I try so hard to prove / What’s killing you is killing me too”

These powerful lyrics deliver a message for anyone struggling with toxic relationships, encouraging self-liberation and personal growth.

“Every action causes a reaction, a side effect,” says frontman Leigh Kakaty.
“Toxicity is a virus that spreads and kills, but liberation and healing lies in an antidote you already possess. And now is the time to take it.”
