Foo Fighters are back in full force with “Of All People,” the latest single from their upcoming album Your Favorite Toy, due out April 24 via Roswell Records and RCA Records.
Raw, loud, and a little unhinged in the best way, “Of All People” taps into the band’s more aggressive instincts. The track leans into a fast, punk-leaning energy that feels reminiscent of Hüsker Dü, channeling that chaotic edge that has always been part of the band’s DNA. It is the kind of song that reminds you why Dave Grohl continues to thrive when things get a little unpredictable.
The song first made its debut in an intimate setting on February 22 in Dingle, Ireland, where the band performed inside St. James Church for the long running Irish series Other Voices. With only about 80 people in the room, the performance gave an early glimpse at the track’s intensity before its official release.
“Of All People” serves as another preview of Your Favorite Toy, the band’s 12th studio album. The project was recorded at home and co-produced by the band alongside Oliver Roman, with mixing handled by Mark “Spike” Stent. The album is shaping up to balance melody and grit, with a tracklist that includes songs like “Caught In The Echo,” “Window,” and the title track.
The release also sets the stage for a massive global run. Foo Fighters are gearing up for their Take Cover world tour, a stadium run that is expected to dominate the summer and bring these new songs to the biggest stages possible.
With “Of All People,” Foo Fighters are not just revisiting their heavier side. They are leaning all the way into it, delivering a track that feels immediate, loud, and built to be played live.
