Let It Die Here traces Perry’s journey from fronting 4 Non Blondes and delivering the iconic hit “What’s Up” to becoming one of the most influential songwriters and producers in modern pop. Over the past three decades, she has worked with a wide range of artists including Dolly Parton, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Adele, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys.

The film goes beyond the resume, offering an unfiltered look at Perry during a pivotal moment in her life and career. Shot over several years, it captures her creative process, personal struggles, and the tension between reinvention and identity.

The release comes at a time of renewed attention around Perry’s legacy. Following a 2025 reunion, “What’s Up” found new life online through viral moments, introducing the song to a new generation.

The documentary also aligns with the release of Perry’s first solo album in over 25 years, also titled Let It Die Here, arriving May 8.
