Linda Perry has released her first solo album in 25+ years, Let It Die Here, out now via Kill Rock Stars/670 Records. The 17 track record is an intimate collection of songs that emerged during the filming of her deeply personal documentary, also titled Let It Die Here. A raw, spiritual reckoning, the album traces a journey through inherited pain, grief, and redemption—from the late-night confessions of “Balboa Park” to the searing surrender of “Let It Die Here,” culminating in “Albatross,” a moment of hard-won release. Early critical response is strong, including a 4-star review from Mojo praising how “Perry’s keen pop sensibility shot through,” SPIN Magazine stating “Perry alchemically turns psychic chaos into spun gold,” alongside acclaim from Classic Rock Magazine calling the album “a supremely classy and highly polished affair. Immaculately crafted, played and produced,” all signaling major recognition ahead of release. To accompany the album release, Perry is debuting a music video for the focus track “Feathers In A Storm.”

Linda Perry reflected on the release of Let It Die Here – “I never intended to make a documentary, and I never intended to record an album—but here I am with an incredibly raw documentary and an extremely honest record. This album represents the years I struggled as a child, with a very tough mother who always made me feel like I had to be constantly looking over my shoulder, never feeling the comfort of safety. In songs like ‘Is That All You Got?’ you hear me take her on, and in ‘What Lies With You,’ you hear me struggling to say goodbye. Let It Die Here is a cinematic and emotional story about survival. I don’t know how this will touch others, but it has certainly helped set me free.”
On the inspiration behind the single and music video for “Feathers In Storm,” Linda Perry said –
“I spent years trying to change my mom—wanting her approval and wanting her to be accountable for the damage she caused. I finally realized that would never happen. ‘Feathers in a Storm’ is about looking inward for that change. And yeah, it sucks when your parents don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. At the end of the day, we’re just feathers in a storm looking for a way out. I wanted the video for ‘Feathers in a Storm’ to be fun, visually dynamic, and just cool. All the outfit changes represent the changes I’m singing about. Simon Chan directed and put all the visuals together—he’s fast, creative, and we just get each other. Style Alchemist styled all my clothes in the video; they are great with textures, colors and really elevated my look. I love what they do. Shea Hardy did my makeup, and I’m not easy because I don’t like wearing it—but she’s the only one I trust with that task. I let everyone do what they do best, gave them full creative freedom, and they delivered—I love this video.”
For the first single off of Let It Die Here, Perry revisited her iconic song “Beautiful,” delivering a raw, intimate performance that reframes the anthem through her own lived experience. To accompany “Beautiful,” Linda tapped actor/producer/director Sara Gilbert who created a visually stunning short film/music video based around a talent show with a 1940’s influence but also feels timeless. The video stars their child Rhodes Perry, actor Lukas Haas, Shane Powers (Babylon, Survivor) as well as a cast of a close circle of friends, family, actors and musicians. Linda Perry made her solo late night television debut performing “Beautiful” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year. Fans can watch and stream “Beautiful” here https://lindaperry.lnk.to/

Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated producer and Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Linda Perry is one of the most accomplished people working in music today. Beginning her musical journey as the lead singer of 4 Non Blondes, she has profoundly impacted pop culture through her work as a producer and songwriter. Her resounding influence on female empowerment resonates through her sincere artistry, helping shape the sounds of P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Adele, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus and many more.
4 Non Blondes’ debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!, spent more than a year on the Billboard 200 after its release in 1992, going platinum and spawning the anthem, “What’s Up?,” ubiquitous on MTV at the time and still a rallying cry against those forces of quasi-political control in the name of personal freedom. The song entered the prestigious Spotify Billions Club in November 2024, while the video is currently closing in on 2 billion YouTube views. Despite their meteoric rise, 4 Non Blondes disbanded in 1994, with lead vocalist Linda Perry going from her auspicious start in 4 Non Blondes to a wildly successful career as a songwriter, producer, label owner and, including such platinum records as Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” Gwen Stefani’s “What You Waiting For?” and P!nk’s “Get the Party Started.”
In 2019, Perry earned a groundbreaking Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year, making her the first woman in 15 years to be nominated in the category. Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations followed for her work on “Girl In the Movies,” a track she co-wrote with Dolly Parton for the Netflix film “Dumplin.” Perry has also scored the films “Luckiest Girl Alive,” “To Leslie,” “Citizen Penn” and the 2021 documentary “Kid 90.” In March 2022, she launched EqualizeHer, a charitable initiative she co-founded with Alisha Ballard to achieve equal representation for women across all aspects of the music industry. In 2025 Linda Perry reunited with her original band 4 Non Blondes, which she first formed in the Bay Area in 1989 in the middle of an earthquake with co-founding bassist Christa Hillhouse. The two joined with drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha, both members of the original touring band, for first time in more than 33 years. “I put my feelers out into the universe,” said Perry about the reunion. “Playing some songs with 4 Non Blondes just seemed like a fun thing to do, in a way it hadn’t before now. I’ve been behind the scenes for far too long. I want to step out to be the artist I am. I’m just open to all the possibilities that I’ve created around me. I manifest things all the time.”
On the heels of a successful reunion in 2025 and performing at music festivals around the world, Linda Perry and 4 Non Blondes went viral on TikTok with the “What’s Up?/Beez In The Trap” mashup, generating over 15 billion views and more than 5.4 million user-created videos. The viral trend has been embraced by a number of celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter—driving the “What’s Up?” to #1 on viral charts and top placements across TikTok and global music rankings. Linda Perry and 4 Non Blondes now have over 1.6M followers across all social media platforms. 2026 will see the release of Linda Perry’s first solo album in 25+ years titled Let It Die Here, alongside a theatrical run of her documentary of the same title. Perry plans to tour and release a new 4 Non Blondes album, slated for release in early 2027.
