Skratch N Sniff Delivers Two Massive Weekends of Remixes, Rock Anthems and New Music

Skratch N Sniff is back with another pair of genre-bending shows, bringing together exclusive remixes, alternative favorites, heavy rock staples and some of the strongest new tracks currently moving through both formats.

Alternative Mix #706 opens with a Cidfox remix of Beck’s “Loser” before moving into Cage The Elephant’s “Beaches In Tennessee,” a Beatbender reworking of the Smashing Pumpkins classic “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” and Lewd Behavior’s remix of The White Stripes’ “Fell in Love With a Girl.” Ecca Vandal closes the opening segment with “Cruising To Self Soothe.”

The Alternative Mix continues by reshaping songs from Yellowcard, The All-American Rejects, The Killers, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Third Eye Blind, Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, Muse and Blur. Alongside the remixes, the show makes room for original tracks from Sleep Theory, Almost Monday, Bad Press, Joyce Manor, Jutes, Death Cab for Cutie and The Unlikely Candidates.

This week’s Pier.org Song of the Week comes from Cisco Adler with “Wadin’,” featuring Kash’d Out. The sun-soaked collaboration lands alongside Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Brain,” remixed by Dunisco, and “Sun Come” from Slum Beach Posse featuring DENM, Jesse James Pariah and Landon McNamara.

MGK and Fred Durst also bring the Alternative Mix into heavier territory with “FIX UR FACE,” before a Nautika remix of Blur’s “Song 2” closes out the show.

Rock Mix #1223 turns the intensity up even further, beginning with Meduso’s remix of Disturbed’s “Down With the Sickness.” Hollywood Undead’s “Hear Me Now” receives a new Jonathan Davis remix, while Cage The Elephant’s “Beaches In Tennessee,” Hollow Pact’s “Tear” and a Moonlight remix of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” round out the first segment.

The show continues with remixed classics from AC/DC, Five Finger Death Punch, Drowning Pool, Metallica, Linkin Park, Mötley Crüe, Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Korn, Falling In Reverse, Finger Eleven and Green Day.

Rock Mix #1223 also features original cuts from Corrosion of Conformity, Architects, Letdown., Marilyn Manson, Fozzy, Nightshift Special and Autumn Kings. MGK and Fred Durst’s “FIX UR FACE” makes another appearance, fitting comfortably alongside the heavier selections heard throughout the program.

Later segments bring together several major collaborations, including The HU’s “Lost Soul” featuring Jonny Hawkins of Nothing More, Papa Roach’s “See You in Hell” featuring Humankind, Bring Me The Horizon and ILLENIUM’s “Slave to the Rhythm,” and a Jonathan Davis remix of Nothing More’s “Angel Song.”
