Skratch N Sniff Radio turned up the volume over Labor Day weekend with Rock Mix #1230, a six-segment run packed with heavy remixes, current rock, metal and some of the biggest riffs of the past several decades.
Airing over the weekend of September 5, the latest Rock Mix moved between Skratch N Sniff’s signature remix treatment and a strong selection of new and recent releases, bringing together artists including Beastie Boys, Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon, Royal Blood, Bad Omens, Breaking Benjamin, From Ashes To New and more.
The opening stretch balanced familiar rock records with newer material, including the SPLNTR Remix of Ice Nine Kills’ “Rainy Day”.
Segment two delivered one of the show’s more unexpected collaborations with Mötley Crüe featuring Dolly Parton on “Home Sweet Home”, a new version of the Crüe classic pairing the band with one of country music’s most recognizable voices.
That segment also featured Royal Blood’s “Ten Over Ten”, bringing the British duo’s latest era into the mix alongside the heavier remixes surrounding it.
The middle of Rock Mix #1230 leaned particularly hard into Skratch N Sniff’s remix side. Thirty Seconds To Mars’ “The Kill” Dimatik Remix took one of the band’s signature songs into a considerably more electronic direction.
Later, Bring Me The Horizon’s “medicine” Locu5 Remix gave the track a melodic electronic overhaul.
The fourth segment also brought grime and rock together with Native James’ “Never Been Scared” featuring Frisco.
Beyond the remix-heavy selections, the show made room for a strong group of current rock releases. Ninth Key’s “HAPPY FEELS LIKE” was among the newer cuts in the second half of the program.
Breaking Benjamin’s “Something Wicked” also appeared as the band continues its latest chapter.
The closing stretch included From Ashes To New’s “Die For You”, one of the band’s major 2026 releases.
Skratch N Sniff also reached back into the 2000s with AELEMENT’s drum-and-bass rework of Papa Roach’s “Last Resort”.
Across 30 tracks and six segments, Rock Mix #1230 once again showed the range of the Skratch N Sniff format, putting current releases next to rock staples and using remixes, mashups and electronic production to bridge the gaps between generations.

Alternative Mix #714 Mixes Indie, Alternative Classics and The Pier Song of the Week
Skratch N Sniff Radio’s Alternative Mix #714 brought together alternative staples, new releases, mashups and electronic reworks for another genre-spanning show over the weekend of September 5.
Across six segments and 30 songs, the latest Alternative Mix moved from established alternative favorites to some of the scene’s fastest-rising acts, while also giving Everlast the spotlight as ThePier.org Song of the Week.
The opening segment put new music alongside the show’s remixed classics, with LEAP’s “Exit Signs” bringing the British band’s modern rock sound into the mix.
That was followed by another current alternative release in Fontaines D.C.’s “Marianne”.
Segment two continued the new-music run with Young The Giant’s “Evergreen”, taken from the band’s 2026 album Victory Garden.
The show then pushed further into the crossover territory that has always defined Skratch N Sniff with Matt Girst’s rock version of Olivia Rodrigo’s “The Cure”.
That was followed by Gramatik’s electronic rework of Muse’s “Knights Of Cydonia”.
The centerpiece of Alternative Mix #714 arrived in Segment 4 with Everlast’s “Mistaken Identity”, this week’s ThePier.org Song of the Week.
Later in the segment, Phantogram’s “Fall In Love” NEUS Remix took the alternative-electronic favorite into even more club-oriented territory.
The fifth segment leaned into a different era of alternative music with Steve Aoki’s remix of My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome To The Black Parade”.
Royal Blood’s “Ten Over Ten” also crossed over from this weekend’s Rock Mix, making it one of the tracks connecting the two editions of Skratch N Sniff.
Alternative Mix #714 closed with another run of current music, including almost monday’s “no more regrets”.
The final segment also took sombr’s “12 to 12” into electronic territory through Devault’s remix.
From current indie and alternative releases to electronic flips of songs from across the rock spectrum, Alternative Mix #714 offered another snapshot of just how wide Skratch N Sniff’s definition of alternative can get.
