Shavo Odadjian – Seven Hours After Violet Interview
Shavo Odadjian from Seven Hours After Violet sat down with Skratch N’ Sniff to talk about his new band’s debut album on Sumerian Records.
Born from the minds of Shavo Odadjian and multi-platinum producer Morgoth (Winds of Plague), Seven Hours After Violet brings together Taylor Barber (Left to Suffer) on vocals, Alejandro Aranda (Scarypoolparty) on guitar and backing vocals, and Josh Johnson (Winds of Plague) on drums.
Shavo was open and candid during the interview, covering a number of topics, including revealing how early recordings shifted from a solo record into the formation of Seven Hours After Violet. He also discussed their early recordings with Korn’s Jonathan Davis and Howard Jones (Light The Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage), as well as the formation of his new label, 1336 Records, in partnership with Sumerian Music Group.
Odadjian also talked about System of a Down’s upcoming North American stadium shows slated for this summer and how the band plans to change up their setlist. Additionally, he shared his experience playing with the recently reunited SNOT and how watching their show made him emotional. He also touched on his long-discussed side project, Achozen, with RZA of Wu-Tang Clan.
