Wilco Announce 2026 US Summer Tour, Expanding “An Evening With” Run

If you’ve ever wondered what two uninterrupted sets of Wilco might feel like in the thick of summer, Jeff Tweedy and company are about to give you an answer.

The long-running Chicago band have announced a fresh stretch of 2026 US summer tour dates, extending their previously scheduled spring run into June and July. Most of the newly revealed shows are billed as “An Evening with Wilco,” a format that promises two full sets separated by an intermission, much like you would see with a jam band like Phish or The Grateful Dead.

The lone exception? A June 20 stop at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, where Wilco will share the bill with fellow indie lifers Yo La Tengo.  The summer leg kicks off June 12 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before weaving through Rochester Hills, Chautauqua, Bethlehem, Vienna, and Portland, Maine. July finds the band heading south and east — Tulsa, Memphis, Charleston, Durham, Virginia Beach, Lexington, Columbus — the kind of routing that suggests long drives, humid nights, and sprawling setlists.

The “Evening With” format has become something of a quiet flex for Wilco in recent years. It allows them to stretch — to juxtapose the serrated art-rock edges of A Ghost Is Born against the amber warmth of Sky Blue Sky, or to let Yankee Hotel Foxtrot breathe in full technicolor. (Consequence recently ranked that 2001 landmark among the best albums of its year, a reminder that its radio static and existential poetry still hum with relevance.)

Beyond the US dates, Wilco are also slated for European appearances later this summer, including festival stops and select shows with Texas duo Hovvdy.

Frontman Jeff Tweedy isn’t exactly pacing himself, either. Before rejoining his band for the summer run, Tweedy will head out on a series of solo dates across the US and Canada, joined on select nights by collaborators including Macie Stewart, Sima Cunningham, and Liam Kazar.

Both Wilco and Tweedy will converge at the band’s own Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, Massachusetts, in late June — a kind of home-field advantage where side projects, deep cuts, and communal weirdness are not just tolerated but encouraged.

Artist pre-sale access begins Wednesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. local time, with additional pre-sales following ahead of the general on-sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

For a band now decades removed from their alt-country origins, Wilco continue to treat the live show as an evolving laboratory. Two sets a night. No safety net. Just songs — old, new, and occasionally sideways — unfolding in real time.
