BeachLife Festival 2026 Brings Cross-Generational Energy to the Redondo Waterfront

By Jeremy Fortner

BeachLife Festival returned to Redondo Beach May 1–3, 2026, delivering one of its most dynamic lineups to date and continuing to solidify its place as a staple on the Southern California festival calendar. With headliners like Duran Duran, The Chainsmokers, The Offspring, and James Taylor, the weekend pulled in a wide mix of fans and sounds that felt right at home along the coast.

From the jump, the crowd told the story. Early sets leaned into legacy energy with artists like James Taylor and Joan Jett, while younger fans surged forward for The Chainsmokers and My Morning Jacket. Instead of splitting into scenes, everything blended together into one shared experience, something BeachLife consistently gets right.

The setting did a lot of the work too. Clear skies and a steady ocean breeze made it easy to lock in for the full day, bouncing between stages without feeling rushed. Fans posted up in the sand, leaned into the views, and let the music come to them.

Sunday ended up being one of the strongest days of the weekend. Even with last-minute schedule shifts, the festival adjusted quickly, kept everyone informed, and never let the momentum dip. It felt smooth, controlled, and dialed in.

One of the biggest moments came from Slightly Stoopid, whose set hit all the right notes. Guest appearances, crowd favorites, and that signature laid-back energy made it one of the weekend’s standout performances and a perfect match for the BeachLife vibe.

Beyond the stages, the festival continued to show its impact off the field. BeachLife raised more than $150,000 for local and national nonprofits through its charity gala, silent auction, and community partnerships, reinforcing that the event is about more than just music.

With over 40,000 attendees and record-breaking crowds, BeachLife 2026 kept its momentum going while staying true to what makes it work: strong curation, a unique setting, and an atmosphere that feels easy, connected, and built for everyone in the crowd.
